Board of Trustee Nomination

 

Each District Nominating Committee will propose two candidates for Trustee from their respective district. The committee will receive a list of qualified members in their district to assist in identifying potential nominees. District nominees will be voted on by the membership through a mail‑in ballot that will be sent out during the last week of January 2027.

Trustees with terms expiring at the 2027 Annual Meeting are: Dale Andres (District 1), Lee Floyd (District 3), and Terry Olsen (District 4).

If you reside in District 1, 3, or 4 and are interested in being considered for nomination by the Nominating Committee, please complete the application below. If you are unsure which district you live in, please refer to the map provided or contact Flint Hills REC at 620‑767‑5144.

Is your account in your name and not a company name or corporation?
Is your primary residence on Flint Hills REC lines?
Have you been employed by the Cooperative in any capacity in the past five years?
Are you employed or own a business that sells energy or a competing form of energy to any Cooperative consumers or to Flint Hills REC?
Are you able to attend at least 75% of all meetings of the Board of Trustees on an annual basis, including both regular (typically 3rd Moday of each month) and special meetings of the board.
Are you closely related to any board trustee or employee of the Cooperative. ("Closely related" means a person who is a spouse, child, grandchild, parent, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, nehew or niece, by blood or by in-law).
Are you serving on any other boards currently or in the past?
